I sewed him up and while some people might not believe in magic, it was truly magical to reunite my grandson with his most special toy. EMMA’S MONSTER IN THE CLOSET
Whether it’s under the bed or in the closet, it’s hard to find a child whose imagination hasn’t fooled them into being afraid. My granddaughter Emma had such a fright one day and my son got her explanation of what a monster was after on video. Watching a two-year old be so genuine about her monster in the closet warmed my heart and after watching this favorite video of mine over and over, I knew I had to turn it into a book.

We often say the times we live in are scary, but managing in a pandemic is certainly a unique kind of scary. Every decision became hard and while health was always most important, it was sad to have to let go of simple things in life we enjoy. Here is the United States, it was early March and two weeks before my granddaughter’s birthday when my son and daughter-in-law decided her birthday party would have to be cancelled. Quick thinking led to quite the adventure to keep the birthday magic alive.

THE TOOTH BE TOLD
Being in the field of dentistry and always finding great joy in working with children, the idea for this book has been with me for more than 30 years. I always wanted to write a story from the perspective of a tooth, teaching children what it takes to care for the mouth and how important it is to visit the dentist. This is the perfect story for young children who are just beginning to learn about brushing and taking their first trips to the dentist. I had the great pleasure of helping all of my grandchildren through this stage in their lives, and this book is written especially with my granddaughter Ella in mind.
